This is the reason why we need to hosts more big international events. When many rich countries learn about the poverty in Laos, they will give more money.. and guess who keep the money? No one knows ;)

I don't think so. It's like we always try to find excuses to beg for money. We need to show that Laos is now developing itself and is no longer a beggar. Laos can now use the money from selling its electricity, minerals and other natural resources and agricultural products to develop its education, skilled workforce, healthcare and improve the living standards of its people. Other countries can still help Laos to build more centers for advanced education, healthcare and train higher skilled workers. Laos should no longer be happy with being a beggar. Laos needs respects and not pity.
